This is the first in a ten-part series that will run on this blog this summer highlighting the Top-Ten Flyers of All-Time.  Of course, this list is one man’s opinion, and debate is welcomed.  Hope you enjoy.

The Philadelphia Flyers are one of the most storied franchises in the National Hockey League, and arguably one of the most storied in professional sports.  They were the first non-Original Six team to win the Stanley Cup, and they have consistently been a Cup-contending franchise for many of their 47 years of existence.

Among the Flyers’ “Firsts”: a man in Orange and Black became the first goaltender to actually score a goal in a hockey game.  That man is number ten in our countdown.
